Chiropractic care is centered around the idea that the body is a self-healing organism, capable of healing itself as long as its vital systems are functioning properly. When the body experiences injury, it has an innate ability to heal—just like when you cut your finger and it heals on its own. This healing power comes from the life force within you, which is directed and controlled by your nervous system.
The nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and nerves, is the master system of the body. It governs every function and aspect of your health, from how you move to how you feel. As long as there is clear communication between the brain and body, healing and proper function can occur. But when there’s interference in this connection, it can disrupt the body's ability to function and heal effectively.
This interference is often caused by subluxations—misalignments in the spine that can pinch or irritate nerves, disrupting the flow of nerve signals. Just like a pinched water hose can stop water from flowing, a pinched nerve can prevent your body from receiving the signals it needs to maintain health. Subluxations can affect not only physical health but also mental and emotional wellbeing, contributing to conditions like anxiety, depression, and stress.
As chiropractors, our job is to locate and correct these subluxations, restoring proper nerve flow and allowing the body to function optimally. To achieve spinal alignment and restore health, I use various techniques, including Diversified, Thompson, and Activator methods. Each technique is tailored to the patient’s needs, with the goal of realigning the spine and relieving nerve interference, ultimately supporting overall health and wellbeing.
Research has shown that, to see meaningful improvements, treatments up to 6-12 weeks may be necessary, depending on the individual’s condition and response to care. These treatments help maintain spinal alignment, restore nervous system function, and foster long-term healing.
